Lesbians, Gays, Bisexuals and Trangenders (LGBTs) are the most persecuted people in the world today.  Every year, untold thousands escape their countries for the west.  Some flee imminent execution by their governments.  Others seek freedom from hostile societies or their families who would kill them in the name of honor.

They arrive in transit countries with few personal possessions and fewer resources to fend for their survival during their long quest for freedom.  Many fall into destitution and desperate poverty.  Sadly, most never make it to freedom. While many organizations make special efforts to assist at-risk migrants, none currently focuses on these displaced gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgender (LGBT) refugees.  Together, we can help save some of the most endangered LGBT refugees.

ORAM - Organization for Refuge, Asylum & Migration reaches out to the LGBT refugees whom the world has forgotten.  ORAM is a new kind of refugee advocacy network, spanning across national, ethnic, religious, racial and gender lines and working to empower LGBT refugees to advocate on their own and to help one another.  ORAM provides free legal representation to these LGBTs as well as advocacy and education on their behalf.

Join us and become part of an international grassroots family of inspired refugee advocates.  Work with us to ensure an LGBT refugee’s survival in a transit country and their safe resettlement in the west.
