OfficeMax Gives Teachers More Than an Apple

Here's a fact - Every year, teachers spend an average of $1,200 of their own money on classroom supplies, which together is more than $4 billion annually. That's just the wrong answer in a public education system that's already failing!

OfficeMax and Adopt-A-Classroom have joined together to create a national cause event called "A Day Made Better" to generate widespread awareness and support for teachers, and to lead the fight to end teacher-funded classrooms. On October 6, 2009, the third annual cause event for "A Day Made Better" will take place at 1,000 schools across the country where local OfficeMax associates will surprise and honor more than 1,000 extraordinary teachers with more than $1,000 worth of classroom supplies each. Learn more about OfficeMax and Adopt-A-Classroom's efforts to erase teacher-funded classrooms and the impact they've already made by visiting www.ADayMadeBetter.com.
