We are a number of committed people of various ages and professions who are concerned about the welfare of the orphaned and disadvantaged children in Poland and southern Tanzania.
I am a former chemist and factory manager, and together with my social worker wife, we decided helping disadvantaged children is more productive and worthwhile than manufacturing chemicals.
We are based in northern Poland, where we are setting up a project to give extra support to children in some ophanages. The orphanages we have contact with have wonderful caring staff, but many of the children are emotionally traumatised and need extra resources and activities to build self esteem and be motivated to be able to do well at school. We are also raising funds to help a community project for AIDS orphans in an area in southern Tanzania, as well as raising awareness for AIDS. This is a community driven project with the aim of help to self help.
