For over 20 years, Our Friends Place has been breaking the cycle of abuse, neglect, poverty and homelessness.

 

Our Friends Place is dedicated to providing a foundation for girls and young women to build from adversity by learning a self-reliant approach to their own development.  

The Therapeutic Group Home provides up to 8 at-risk girls, ages 10-17, a safe, home-like environment to heal and acquire skills necessary to be self-reliant adults.  The girls have histories of abuse, neglect, abandonement and behavioral problems.

The Transitional Living Center (TLC) serves single, young women, ages 18-24, wth very limited financial and/or emotional support to help them reach economic self-sufficiency.  Many come from poverty, situations of abuse or have aged out of child protective services.

With the decline of so many programs offering services to girls and young women, Our Friends Place remains one of a very few agencies providing care to this underserved and vulnerable population.
