Allan Shore is Common Cause’s new West Coast Major Donor Fundraiser. His position is to help identify new major donor prospects and to develop respectful relationships with existing large donors. Allan has works in association with our California offices in Los Angeles and Sacramento but is responsible for activities throughout the Western states. In his past incarnations, he has served in executive management positions for a variety of community-based nonprofit agencies offering family and youth support, housing assistance, HIV-AIDS and social justice advocacy work. His immediate past position was as executive director of the California Coalition for Youth, a statewide youth empowerment advocacy program. Most of his expertise is in grant writing and donor development.

Allan graduated way back from Western Michigan University in Kalamazoo, MI, and completed his graduate degree at The Ohio State University (just about in the Woody days!).
