Please enter as much information as possible, because that's what will inspire others to join you, support you, support your cause - and all that good stuff. Once you've done this part, then you can do the really fun stuff - create causes and events and then invite all your friends to join you. Alright, let's get going!
Account information
Your preferred username; punctuation is not allowed except for periods, hyphens, and underscores.
A valid e-mail address. All e-mails from the system will be sent to this address -- including your account confirmation, with a temporary password. The e-mail address is not made public and will only be used if you wish to receive a new password or wish to receive certain news or notifications by e-mail.
Profile
Your actual first and last name. No, you don't really have to give it to us, BUT, it really helps people take you seriously if you want to get real things done in the real world with real people. So a real name is a good place to start.
Is this account meant to represent just yourself, your entire organization, or your entire corporation?
Birth date

This just helps us figure out who our "community" is and tailor everything from content to sponsorships to meet the needs of the community. We all know that you are as young or old as you want to be. And note that your age is not displayed to other JUST CAUSE users.
Picture
People really like to see who they're working with. Profiles with pictures are viewed more often, and for a longer period of time. So if you want people to find and trust you, a picture is a good place to start. A real one. (Though it can be as goofy as you want.). The image you upload will automatically be resized to no more than 200 pixels wide. Jpeg, gif, or png files only.

Categories
By letting us know your primary interests, we can help you find the people and information that are relevant to you. You can still search anything you want and post anywhere you want, but it is really helpful to everyone if you tell us your primary interests.
A comma separated list of terms you are interested in. As you type, a list of matching tags will appear. This is your chance to get specific. "Civic Causes" is one of our general channels, but you can tag "homelessness" or "hunger" and that's much more specific. There are a lot of tags in the system already, so if one pops up that fits the bill, use it. If not, make up a new one.
