Spark celebrates women who ignite global change! Meet Spark, the very definition of pink power--a group of young, professional Bay Area gals dedicated to empowering women around the world through small money grants. And with some of the city's most exciting women at the helm, events with Spark always sparkle.

To take a stand against the social, political and economic injustices that affect women globally, and to join a local community of like-minded philanthropists, all you have to do is join Spark today, or at least attend any of our inspiring educationall, networking and social events.

Our super calendar of events includes a Speaker Series (like Nobel Nominee Sakena Yacoobi and Kiva.org founder Jessica Flannery!), Book Club, Cocktails for a Cause happy hours, an annual Gala, and even an annual delegation trip to visit our grantees somewhere in the world. Next month, we are headed to Tanzania to do some hands-on work with the mothers' group we support there.

Our mission is two-fold: inspire young professionals to get involved with philanthropy (you don't have to be a retired milionaire to create significant change--every dollar counts!); create positive social change for women around the world.

Our strategey is four-fold: Community Building, Education, Advocacy, Grant-Making.
