My husband, Myles (who has a blog on here somewhere) is a bicycle commuter.  For a variety of reasons - most of which actually have to do with his sanity - he has eschewed the car in favor of half a dozen bikes that clutter our house with their parts. But it has also become a really major part of how we view the world - how we view everything from commuting, to health, to renewable energy, our neighborhood etc....  As a family, we have become very committed to all matters related to bicycles.  So let's get some conversations going about how thie healthful and clean locomotion can help our bodies and our environment.  (And if anyone has a bright idea as to how we can convince our daughter to ride a bike, we'd appreciate that too!)  - Alyssa
