Making good use of an education
The past two weeks, I've been attempting to write surveys to give to volunteers about their experiences at the volunteer center with the Chore program. In my experience, people love to take surveys. I think it's probably the act of putting little "X" marks in the correct spaces that draws people to them; similar to a cross-word puzzle, perhaps?
Working from a sociological standpoint, Ialways wonder whether I'm truly extracting the information I want with a survey. Everyone is different, and some people are more easily offended than others. I don't want to ask the wrong questions.
This week, and weekend, I will be going up to the university to try and plaster campus with information about the Chore program. With that in mind, I'm trying to come up with some new ways to draw people in. I've been trying to wrap my head around how I could develop a new outreach strategy. If anyone has ideas, please feel free to chime in.
